Quinta da Trindade, located at the entrance of Seixal Bay, is an innovative and unique project, not only because of its privileged riverside location, providing fabulous views over the Tagus and Lisbon, but also because of its conception and design.
Conceived and developed from scratch, this Imagined Town transforms an ancient manor house dating back to the time of the Knights Templar into a central new feature of the Seixal district that will include a residential area, ample green spaces, a cycle track around the full perimeter of the development, a kindergarten and nursery school, a shopping zone, the Seixal sports city, the Caixa Football Campus (the training centre for Portugal’s famous Benfica football club) and the Quinta da Trindade Club, as well as the Municipal Ecological Museum (to be installed in the former Quinta da Trindade Palace).
Quinta da Trindade is the perfect project to culminate the Seixal waterfront, which has undergone a landmark redevelopment, and is fully in keeping with the beauty of its special surroundings, which have been unjustly associated with the mass urbanization of the 1970s and 1980s.
The design project, carried out by the architectural office of Pedro George & Associates, covers the whole of the Quinta da Trindade area, ensuring the full integration of buildings and open spaces and drawing the maximum benefit from the surrounding riverside area and green spaces.
